Robert Mills

Robert Peter Mills was born in London in 1950. He attended Sevenoaks School and trained as a doctor at the London Medical College. After completing his postgraduate training in London and Bristol, he worked as a consultant otolaryngologist (ENT surgeon) in Dundee. In 1998 he moved to Edinburgh where he became professor of otolaryngology.  

After retiring from the British Health Service and his marriage to a Thai doctor, he moved to Khon Kaen in Thailand. He teaches on two ear surgery courses in Thailand and is a board member and trustee of a UK charity, the Britain Nepal Otology Service. He has three children from his first marriage: Emily, a doctor, Nicholas, an architect, and Alexa, a solicitor.

His novel, Tiger Heart, was published by Bangkok Books in 2011. His short story, The Ladies Man, was published in Radgepacket 6: Tales from the Inner Cities by Biker Books in 2012. His short play, Under Sydenham Hill (A play for voices) was performed by the Citadel Theatre Group on April 16th, 2007.
